Classes

DanceMakers Gymnastics follow the National Can Gym program, which gears levels with age and ability.
Recreational Program
Parent and Tot The Parent and Tot program is a 45 minute class for athletes ages 2 & 3, and is an interactive program for parent and child to participate in learning basic gymnastics through fun and interactive activities.
Kinder Gym This program is a 45 minute class for athletes ages 3 & 4, who are ready to fly solo and are able to follow directions with good listening skills. Gymnasts will learn basic gymnastics skills through the process of fun, fitness, and fundamentals.
TumbleBugs 1 & 2 This program is an hour class for athletes ages 4 & 5 (TumbleBugs 1), and ages 5 & 6 (TumbleBugs 2). Gymnasts will continue to develop gym skills, strength and co-ordinations through fun, fitness, and fundamentals.
Advanced Tumblebugs
For the younger athlete (age 5-6) who is ready physically and mentally for more of a challenge. This hour and a half class may lead to Developmental, Pre-Comp or GymBugs.
GymBugs 1 & 2 This program is an hour and a half class for athletes ages 7 &8 (GymBugs 1), and 9 & 10 (GymBugs 2). Gymnasts will be introduced to skills which develop strength, co-ordination, and balance through a variety of activites.
GymFun This program is a 2 hour class for athletes ages 11 & up who are ready for a longer class and more of a challenge. Gymnasts will develop their skills and self confidence in a fun yet focused environment.
Advanced Recreational
Offered once or twice a week for a two hour class. Athletes are ready mentally and physically to work harder tricks but are not ready to join the competitive program. Ages 8+
Beginner Acro Dance This class is an hour class for student who are 8+ years. The class focuses on basic tumbling, strength, flexibility, and leap development combined with basic dance skills, and set to music.
Intermediate Acro Dance This class is an hour class for students who are 10+ years. The class focuses on more complex tumbling, leaps, flexibility and dance combinations. Some gymnastics or dance training will be required for this class.
Competitive Acro Dance
By invitational only. Participants will have the opportunity to work on more complex acro moves, flexibility and tumbling. Participants will compete in dance competitions in the spring. Experience in gymnastics and/or dance a must to be accepted.
DanceNastics Dancenastics is a 45 minute combination class for 2 to 3 years (Parent & Tot) and 3 to 4 years (Kinder level). It allows students to learn the basics of dance in the dance studio and the basics of gymnastics in the gymnastics facility. It is an excellent introduction to both disciplines!
Developmental
Gymnasts in this program are 5-7 years of age training 2X 2hr per week and are working on the foundations of gymnastics. Placement in this program is on the recommendation of the coaching staff. Gymnasts in this program may move into the 6 hour Pre-Comp group or into an Advanced Recreational group at the end of 1-2 years in the program.
Competitive Programs Pre-Competitive and Competitive athletes train between 6 to 12+ hours per week. All gymnasts are required to have an assessment before being placed in the program.
